How to Spend One Perfect Day in Lisbon

Hi everyone, welcome to The Aloha Blog! Today I have another very overdue blog post. I was in Lisbon back in 2022, and while I definitely preferred Algarve (you can read my Algarve itinerary here), I still had a lot of fun during my short time in Lisbon. In this blog post, I’ll share a few of my favorite things I did and saw. With that being said, here is how to spend one perfect day in Lisbon.

Fabrica da Nata

After waking up and getting ready for the day, head over to Fabrica da Nata for coffee and pastel da natas! The pastel da natas here were by far the best I had in Portugal. Make sure to get there at 8 a.m. when they open so you can grab a seat and relax before your busy day.

Parque Eduardo VII

Next, head over to Parque Eduardo VII for a morning stroll. From the top of the hill at the park, you will get to take in beautiful views of the city. I also recommend visiting the greenhouse while you are here!

Lisbon Cathedral

Your next stop is the Lisbon Cathedral! This is the oldest church in Lisbon, with its construction dating back to the 12th century. For cathedral hours and additional information, click here!

Arco da Rua Augusta

Next up is Arco da Rua Augusta. This beautiful arch was originally designed as a gateway to the city. For a small fee, you can take an elevator to the top for a 360 view of downtown and the Tagus River.

A Padaria Portuguesa

At this point, you should be pretty hungry from all the walking you’ve been doing, so it’s time for lunch! Head over to A Padaria Portuguesa for some delicious food. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this place. My sandwich was perfect, the staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere was great. They have a variety of options, including gluten-free and vegetarian meals. They also have an amazing mission and vision. If you want to read about it, click here!

Medeiros e Almeida Museum

After lunch, head over to the Medeiros e Almeida Museum to check out some beautiful works of art. The museum is housed in a gorgeous late-1800s mansion and features 25 rooms for you to browse through. For hours and ticket prices, click here.

Jardim do Torel

Your next stop is Jardim do Torel. This is truly such an amazing hidden gem in Lisbon. It has a stunning viewpoint of the city and a beautiful fountain where you can relax.

Local Avenida

The last stop for the day is Local Avenida for a delicious dinner. They offer a variety of dishes that are free of preservatives and refined sugars, so you can enjoy your meal guilt-free.
